This was one of those rides a person could not ever forget. My son came with me, and at this year there was a drought. This day specially, many small brush fires started as we rode by on Bear Mountain Parkway. The roads after West Point were closed to traffic, so we stopped and watched the boats and helicopters try to extinguish the fires.
